Bari, Innovation and Future
Deloitte inaugurates a new headquarters in Bari, an innovation hub for Southern Italy, offering opportunities for young professionals.

Bari is preparing to experience a historic moment with the inauguration of Deloitte's new headquarters, scheduled for June 30. Located at Via Umberto Giordano 4, within the Fiera del Levante pavilions, this modern structure overlooks the Adriatic Sea, becoming a symbol of innovation and technology for the city.
The new headquarters is designed to be a hub of innovation, dedicated to supporting Apulian and Southern companies in their digital transformation. By adopting solutions based on artificial intelligence, Deloitte aims to guide businesses towards a more technological and competitive future.
The choice of Bari as a headquarters is not accidental. The city is a strategic reference point for Southern Italy, well connected to the rest of Italy and Europe. The presence of ports, an international airport, and excellent universities makes Bari an ideal place to attract young talents from the South. In the past, many of these young people were forced to move to other cities to find opportunities in the technology sector.
Inside the new headquarters, NextHub will be active, an excellence center designed to attract up to 1,700 young professionals. NextHub's focus will be on key skills required in the current job market, such as software development, cybersecurity, data analysis, machine learning, and AI solutions for businesses. This represents a concrete opportunity for local youth, who will be able to train and work directly in Southern Italy.
One of the significant advantages for young people choosing to work in Bari is the cost of living, which is considerably lower than in cities like Milan. Rent, transportation, meals, and daily expenses are more affordable, allowing young workers to live better and enjoy a higher quality of life. Additionally, the proximity to the sea, the mild climate, and a more relaxed pace of life make Bari an ideal city for balancing career and personal well-being.
The impact of Deloitte's new headquarters on the territory will be concrete. With over 2,000 employees expected, Deloitte strengthens its presence in the South, actively contributing to the digitization of the Italian production system. The goal is to generate shared value among businesses, institutions, and local professionals, creating a favorable ecosystem for innovation.
The new headquarters will also serve as a contact point with startups and the local academic world, promoting open innovation. This approach aims to stimulate the growth of a technological ecosystem in the heart of the Mediterranean, making Bari an attractive hub for innovation.
Fabio Pompei, CEO of Deloitte Italy, emphasized the importance of this initiative, describing it as a virtuous example of public-private collaboration. He stated that the investment is set to grow, with the aim of contributing to the digital transformation of the country and generating shared value with businesses, institutions, and the territory.
During the inauguration, the results of a study on the economic fabric of Puglia will also be presented, with a particular focus on the region's role in digital transition and the challenges related to artificial intelligence in the coming years.
