Masseria Guadalupe: Art and Tradition
Masseria Guadalupe unites Mexican and Apulian culture, inaugurated on June 13 with international guests and art.

In the heart of the Ostuni countryside, Masseria Guadalupe stands as a symbol of cultural union. This 19th-century historic residence has been revived thanks to the efforts of Jennifer Andreu, a Mexican designer who has skillfully blended her cultural roots with the beauty of Puglia. The masseria, located in contrada Schiavone, exemplifies how Apulian rural architecture can engage with Mexican art.
The inauguration, scheduled for June 13, will be a significant event, featuring the presence of the Mexican Ambassador to Italy, Carlos García de Alba, along with local authorities. The ceremony will be enriched by a special blessing from Mexican Father Patricio Suárez, emphasizing the connection between faith and culture. The masseria will be dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, a symbol of great significance for the Latin American community.
During the evening, guests will enjoy a unique soundtrack, with Mariachi Romatitlan bringing traditional Mexican sounds. Additionally, DJ Alure will accompany the second part of the event, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere. Among the expected guests are well-known figures from the worlds of art, fashion, and music, such as Spanish model Mar Flores and conductor Isabella Ambrosini.
The masseria will not only be a place of hospitality but also a space dedicated to art. During the inauguration, works by Mexican visual artists, such as Alberto “El Negro” Ibanez and Luvia Lazo, will be projected, further strengthening the cultural bond between Mexico and Puglia. This artistic exchange represents an opportunity to enhance the traditions and cultural expressions of both regions.
Masseria Guadalupe will offer around 40 beds and a swimming pool, nestled among the centuries-old olive trees of the Itria Valley. Guests will experience a unique blend of nature, art, and spirituality. The structure fits into a context of growing international interest in the Itria Valley, which has seen an increase in investments in recent years.
The project has benefited from Title II of the Puglia Region, an initiative aimed at encouraging investments in the tourism and cultural sectors. This approach has allowed for the recovery and enhancement of a historical heritage, making it accessible to a broader audience.
The masseria represents a new chapter for the Itria Valley, a territory that is emerging as a luxury and charming destination. Thanks to entrepreneurs like Pascale Lauber and Ulrike Bauschke, who transformed Palazzo Tanzarella into a luxury hotel, and the interests of major groups like Four Seasons, the area is attracting the attention of international investors.
Masseria Guadalupe is a concrete example of how local culture can engage with the international one. It is a place where beauty, craftsmanship, and spirituality intertwine, creating a unique atmosphere. This project not only enhances the Apulian landscape but also brings value and visibility to a territory rich in history and traditions.
At a time when the world seeks authentic connections, Masseria Guadalupe proposes itself as a bridge between cultures, a place where Southern Italy meets the heart of Mexico. Its opening represents an opportunity to tell stories, share experiences, and celebrate the cultural diversity that enriches our common heritage.
