Fun and Safety at the Fun Park of Pila

My wife and I were in Pila with friends and their kids. We liked the idea of a day in the snow. But skiing with little kids was out of the question. "I read about FunPark Chacard," our friend said. "It should be behind the cable car. Let's check it out." So, we headed to the Chacard area. We had no big expectations but were curious to see what it offered.

The first good thing was the parking: big, free, right by the entrance. With kids, not walking miles with sleds and bags is a win.

The FunPark is a snow play area. It has two main zones: one for bobsleds and sleds, and another for snow tubing with colorful rafts. There's also a space for little ones with inflatable toys and soft structures. Our friends' kids jumped in, as excited as you'd expect.

The location is nice, we have to admit. You get sun all day and there's a solarium where we adults sat while the kids played. The mountain view is pleasant.

But you should know the costs are quite high: 15 euros per person, 7.50 for kids up to 3 years old. It's not really cheap for what it offers, especially considering the space isn't huge. Lines form easily when it's crowded, slowing things down a bit. Kids have to wait their turn, and patience isn't always a strong point for the little ones.

Downhill from the facility, there are other games to pass the time between turns. But overall, the area isn't very large. After a couple of hours, the kids had tried everything multiple times and started repeating activities.

My wife and our friend did some snow tubing with the little ones, while we guys tried the bobsleds. It's fun, sure, but it gets a bit repetitive after a while. There aren't a ton of variations.

One thing I appreciated is the safety: the area is well-organized, the slopes are soft, and there aren't any major dangers. It's ideal for small kids; they don't need to know how to ski and can still enjoy the snow.

If you're coming to Pila with young kids and want to spend a few hours in the snow without skiing, FunPark Chacard can be a good option. Don't expect too much, but for letting kids play safely in the snow, it does its job. The price is a bit high for what's offered, but if the kids have fun and you can relax in the sun, it's worth it in the end.
