Après ski in Pila the paradise for families and friends

After a day of skiing, having an aperitif in Pila is almost a ritual for me. As soon as I take off my boots, I always find a spot between the slopes and the village. I stop for a drink, chat a bit, and enjoy the mountain vibe. At the end of the day, the pace changes. Après-ski here is informal, not over the top. It's about beers, music, and classic bombardinos. These are warm drinks with egg liqueur and brandy or rum, perfect for sunset over the Alps.

One place I often visit is the Yeti Bar & Restaurant. It's a popular spot for skiers. The panoramic terrace invites you to stop. They offer a wide selection of beers and cocktails. There's always movement, that typical après-ski hustle that keeps the place lively but not chaotic.

Right on the slopes, in the Chamolè area, there's Alpenwood. It's perfect for a quick stop after the last run. Grab a quick drink, a glass of wine, and take a few minutes to relax. It's a calm but busy spot before heading back.

Heading down to the valley, I've also stopped at Lo Baoutson in Gressan. The atmosphere here is cozier, with a terrace and a lit fireplace. It's ideal for a longer break at the end of the day, especially when it starts getting really cold outside.

If I stay in town, Trattoria dei Maestri is my go-to for aperitifs and after-dinner drinks. Bar Mion or the Hotel della Nouva bar are more relaxed choices to end the day calmly.

Ristorante Société deserves a special mention. It's a more refined and social option, especially with live music nights. Reaching it by snowcat at night makes it even more unique. Après-ski in Pila usually starts around 4 PM when the lifts close and can easily continue into the evening.

I also had dinner at Ristorante Société. The prices seemed fair for what they offer. Starters range from 13 to 20 euros, and main courses are about 16-18 euros. The mountain dishes are well-made with good portions. It's not a place for a cheap meal, but you won't cringe at the bill either. I booked the evening dinner directly from their website and went up by snowcat. The experience is worth it, even with the 20-euro snowcat fee. Once you're at the chalet, the atmosphere makes the price secondary.

I wanted to try something new with my wife, and the snowcat was a first for us.
