The beach is free and there are no establishments, so bring everything you need, such as water, sunscreen, and a towel to sit on, as the pebbles can be uncomfortable.
Lama Monachile is captivating in every season, but in the summer months it can be very crowded. If you want to take photos in peace, the ideal months are April, May, September, and October. Early morning is also a good time to visit to avoid the crowds. The sunset light offers a warm and suggestive atmosphere, perfect for admiring the lama from above.
For those arriving by car, it is important to know that the historic center is a limited traffic zone. You can park in the outer areas, such as Via San Vito or Via Pompeo Sarnelli. From there, Lama Monachile is easily reachable on foot in less than 10 minutes.
The walk from the center is short and safe, making it suitable for all ages. However, the descent to the beach features irregular and steep steps. For elderly people or those with mobility difficulties, it is better to stop at the belvedere. Children, if accompanied, can enjoy the visit safely.
